Limited Edition UK Buddy Club P1 Racing Strut Bar

Back in January Paul Hughes from Buddy Club UK announced they were going to develop a front strut brace for their Championship winning Time Attack DC5.

Here's the beast in question

And what the initial CAD design looked like

To keep development costs down, they had decided to produce a limited run of 10 struts only, ever. 2 of these would be for their two time attack DC5's. The other 8 were offered to members of the itr-dc5 forum. Each one would be numbered to signify the rarity of this part. I originally had No.2 but being a Chinese dude, I of course had to request No.8 ( meaning prosperity) which of course I got v(^_^)v

During the development process I had noticed that the strut top body panels were at different angles between the facelift and pre. Now the Buddy Club car above may look like a facelift, but it's actually a pre with converted front and rear lights. I knew there was no 'hinge' system like other strut bars as they were designed to be extremely rigid. Cue panic mode, I notified Paul immediately. A true professional he took it in his stride and sourced a facelift customer car to take measurements and test fit.
Out of the 10 strut bars, only two were for facelift cars so essentially there is only one other strut bar like mine in the World ^_^

First prototype being CNC machined from a solid block of billet alloy
4 months later after lots of development work the finished product arrived at my house. They designed the centre bores the same size as the lip on top of the strut top body panel, so the lip takes all the latteral force, there is no force taken on the bolts or nuts.

Number 8
